My Story
My name is Jessica, and I am the sole owner and creator of Kindling Memories Candle Co. LLC. Every aspect of Kindling Memories is created by me—from the scents and colors to the graphic design, website, advertising, packaging, and so much more.
I launched Kindling Memories in April 2022 during a difficult chapter in my life. What began as something to help me through that time grew into something much more meaningful.
My husband, an Army Veteran who is 100% disabled with PTSD, had been my main focus for more than 12 years. Supporting someone you love through layers of mental health struggles can be incredibly difficult. You do your best to support and love them as they face pain and experiences that most people could never imagine.
My husband is now incarcerated, and I have been on my own with our two sons since 2017.
As the years passed, I realized some of our most precious memories were beginning to feel farther away—the smell of a campfire, picking out our Christmas tree, sitting together around the dinner table, and all those ordinary moments that once meant everything.
That is where Kindling Memories was born.
The scents I create are intentional. Many have a personal meaning and are connected to memories, places, people, and moments in my life. Creating them became therapeutic for me—a way to reconnect with memories I never wanted to lose.
And that eventually became the purpose behind Kindling Memories: creating fragrances that can help you reconnect with yours.
I believe in forgiveness. I believe in hope. I believe our past can be part of our story without defining our future.
Above all, I believe in Jesus Christ and His unwavering love for ALL of us. I believe in His grace, His mercy, and the promise that our mistakes do not have to define who we are. Scripture reminds us that “as far as the east is from the west,” so far has He removed our sins from us.
I believe there is redemption. I believe there are second chances. And I believe that no matter how difficult our story may become, God is still writing it.
That faith, forgiveness, love, and hope are at the very heart of Kindling Memories.
Kindling Memories is about more than fragrance. It is about the incredible way a scent can bring us back to a person, a place, or a moment we thought we had forgotten.
I feel incredibly blessed to share this journey with you, and I hope somewhere among my creations, you find a scent that kindles a memory of your own.
The Meaning Behind My Logo
My logo is more than a design—it is a reflection of my heart, my faith, and my family.
At the center are two trees, representing my husband and me—rooted, growing, and standing strong together through every season of life. Trees remind me that even when storms come, deep roots keep us grounded.
Surrounding the two trees is a ring. This ring symbolizes the promises we made to each other and, most importantly, the vows we made before God. It represents commitment, faith, and the sacred covenant that holds us together even when life feels uncertain.
Within the logo is a broken infinity symbol, and its opening is intentional.
It represents a love that is infinite even though we are not physically together. The open ends symbolize distance, sacrifice, and waiting.
When my husband comes home, those two ends will be closed, completing the infinity—a reminder that love can endure even the longest seasons apart.
This logo tells our story:
